June Updates from Syringe Access Services

We are welcoming back volunteers at our Syringe Access and Disposal sites, beginning June 1.

Welcome back Syringe Access and Disposal volunteers!

We are delighted to share with you all that starting June 1, we are welcoming back volunteers to our Syringe Access and Disposal mobile sites. If you haven’t already, please email your signed copy of our updated volunteer waiver to Jody, director of volunteer programs, at jschaffer@sfaf.org. Please include verification of COVID-19 vaccine as well.

You can sign up for shifts at Shiftboard.com and if you need assistance please email azimmer@sfaf.org or call/ text 415.994.3899.

Ashley Zimmer will join you on your first volunteer shift back to familiarize you with COVID-19 policies and procedures.

We have already welcomed back corporate volunteers for supply prep. On May 21, we had a great group of 10 volunteers from Twitter. They spent the day learning about harm reduction and rolling brillo. We are truly thankful for all of our volunteers!

If you have any questions or concerns about volunteering, call or email Ashley Zimmer.
