A fourth-generation native San Franciscan, Paul A. Aguilar saw the devastation the AIDS pandemic brought upon San Francisco firsthand. He tested HIV-positive in 1988, at age 25. Paul is very active in the community as a member of the HIV Advocacy Network (HAN) and the statewide End the Epidemics Coalition in California. Paul serves on the Board of Directors of Mary’s Place Affordable Housing Corporation and the Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club. At SFAF, Paul serves as a Long-term Survivor Community Liaison with the Aging Services department.
