Xander Briere (they/he) is a transgender activist, identity consultant, harm reductionist, and sex worker advocate from San Francisco's Tenderloin. They are the founder and harm reductionist of Co. of Dionysus LLC, serve as Policy & Education Co-Chair for the HIV Advocacy Network (SFAF), are a Working Group member with DecrimSWCA, and were honored as a 2024 San Francisco Pride Community Grand Marshal. Their work centers HIV advocacy, harm reduction, LGBTQIA sexual health, transgender liberation, and sex worker decriminalization through community organizing, education, and systems change. Following recent city budget cuts, Xander is currently seeking opportunities where they can bring their expertise in harm reduction, HIV advocacy, program development, policy, and community organizing to advance health equity. Because queerness is power, harm reduction is love, and sex workers deserve both.
