One-on-one psychotherapy
Our clinicians provide a limited amount of individual one-one-one therapy.
Transgender and non-binary clients interested in one-on-one therapy may find out more by joining either of the two groups described below, Transformaciones or TransLife Galaxy.
We also offer one-on-one individual mental health care services to gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, and transgender folks through The Stonewall Project. For more information about these services, email stonewall@sfaf.org or call 415-487-3100.
Transformaciones
Offered through our Aging Services department, this twice-monthly support group was developed to meet the specific needs of trans Latinas over the age of 50. Dr. Silvia facilitates this group in Spanish, helping community members discuss and resolve issues during group sessions.

TransLife Galaxy
Offered twice per month, this group provides transgender, non-binary, gender queer, and other gender expansive folx a safe place to learn mental health and wellness strategies, such as conflict and conflict resolution, and discuss interplays with race and culture. The group operates through our Black Health department and is designed for Black and BIPOC community members. It is facilitated by Dr. Silvia Sandoval.
