Pick Up Crew – Report Improperly Discarded Syringes
Funded by the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), our Pick Up Crew works 7 days a week in neighborhoods across the city to pick up and safely dispose of improperly discarded syringes.
Call us at 415-818-7769, 7 am to 7 pm, any day of the week, and we will stop by to safely remove any syringes on the street.
You can also report improperly discarded injection equipment to 311. If you see syringes on the street, do not touch or try to move them.
Volunteer with us!
Our volunteers transform the lives of participants and improve the health and wellness of our community. As a volunteer, you will help to reduce the number of new HIV and hepatitis C infections, prevent overdoses, and save lives by helping us staff our network of mobile health access sites and one storefront location in SoMa.
Volunteers are trained to provide non-judgmental, person-centered services including access to life-saving supplies, critical health information, and connections to care
About our program
We are one of the oldest and most comprehensive programs serving people who use drugs in the U.S., providing services since 1992. For decades, we have been the largest distributor of life-saving HIV, hepatitis C, and overdose prevention supplies in San Francisco. All of our programs are non-judgemental, client-centered, culturally responsive, and guided by compassion and connection.
