Drug Checking (SCOPE)

Bring us a small amount of your product and we will analyze it to let you know the major ingredients present and whether it contains trace amounts of fentanyl or benzodiazepines.

We are only able to analyze one sample per person per day. You can sit with us while we analyze your sample or drop them off and contact us later for results.

The technology has limits on what it can and can’t analyze, and what information can be learned. We will tell you what we are able to find out, and be clear about what we don’t know.

YES:

• Powders & chunks
• Crystals
• Tar
• Pressed pills
• Residues from pipes or foil (sometimes)

NO:

• Plant or fungal materials like weed, blotter paper, or mushrooms.
• Water solutions—like a prepped shot.
• Residues from cottons or steel wool.
• Foods like edibles or gels.
• Bodily fluids like blood or urine.

YES (Usually):

• The major ingredients (above 5%).
• If the sample has trace amounts of fentanyl or benzodiazepines.

NO:

• Percentages or amounts of ingredients present.
• Subjective info like purity (good vs. bad quality).

What’s in our drugs should not be a mystery.

Knowing what ingredients our drugs contain can help us understand why they affect our bodies the ways they do and gives us more information when we’re deciding how we use. Knowing what’s in our drugs will make it more likely we’ll get the effects we want, and be able to minimize risks like overdose.
