Stonewall Community Group

February 5   11:00 am - 1:00 pm

 Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until May 29, 2020

We provide opportunity for group members to explore identity and develop community amongst each other in order to create a support system for maintaining their substance use goals.

Co-facilitators support group discussions exploring drug use, intersecting identities, and clients’ roles in the community, particularly within the context of dealing with oppression. Facilitated by Sharleen Phillips & Sara Maurer.

Free – No RSVP necessary.

The Stonewall Project is a family of programs dedicated to providing counseling, treatment, information and support to gay, bi, queer, and trans men and other men who have sex with men who are having issues with drugs or alcohol. As a program rooted in harm reduction, all substance use goals ranging from safer use, to managed use, to reduced use, to partial abstinence, to complete abstinence are supported and welcome.

Accessibility: All guests must take the elevator to the fourth floor after passing through the lobby arrival process. Groups and services at 1035 Market Street are provided on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors, which are joined by a stairwell with handrails. There are 18 steps between the 3rd and 4th floors, 19 steps between the 2nd and 3rd floors. A staff member must assist you to access the 2nd and 3rd floors by elevator.
