Mental Health Comedy Hour at Strut!
February 29 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
At the Mental Health Comedy Hour “We’re not OK, and that’s OK!”
Mental Health Comedy Hour aims to de-stigmatize mental illness and therapy by using humor and having open conversations about often difficult topics. They had their first show at Strut in January and it was a big success! Join us for another show at Strut focusing on queer mental health!
With a very special guest our featured artist for February Lawrence Lindell!
Are you a queer person dealing with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, or Bipolar disorder?…why not laugh about it? The bay area’s funniest queer stand up comedians tell jokes and talk about their life with mental illness. All in the jovial environment of a late night talk show at Strut! Featuring interviews with licensed mental health professionals and more!
Hosted by Wonder Dave and Kristee Ono two comedians who have themselves struggled with mental illness and found both therapy and talking about mental health in their comedy to be beneficial.
The show format is part stand-up comedy show, part late night talk show featuring interviews and sketch comedy segments.
