Juneteenth: A Black Health Celebration

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It is also often observed for celebrating African-American culture. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1865.
Join the Black Health portfolio as we celebrate with a shared meal, joyful activities, a vocalist performance, special guest speaker, and an African Drum and Dance workshop!

-Drums will be provided. The dancing instruction honors your body capacity and we invite you to make the dancing your own as needed. No experience needed.
