SUMMARY:Queer Ancestors Project Artist Panel
DESCRIPTION:The Queer Ancestors Project is devoted to forging sturdy relationships between LGBTQI people and our ancestors. \nUsing history as a linchpin\, we build community by providing Queer and Trans people\, age 18 to 26\, free interdisciplinary workshops in printmaking\, writing\, and Queer history. Public exhibitions and readings of their work provide a window on the past through which the larger community can glimpse our collective future. \nOur artist panel will be on Friday\, February 27\, from 7 – 9 pm. At this event\, artists will share more about the histories and experiences that inspired their prints and about their artistic process throughout the workshop! ASL interpretation will be available. \nAccessibility: We are asking all attendees to mask and will have KN-95 masks available for all. ASL interpretation is provided at the artist panel. There are no stairs to enter the lobby level at Strut from the street level. The building has three floors\, and there is a stairwell with handrails and a wheelchair-accessible elevator. There are 26 steps from the lobby to the 2nd floor and 48 steps from the lobby to the 3rd floor. Come join San Francisco AIDS Foundation & Cycle to Zero in the South Bay as we celebrate the launch of our new fundraising bike ride. We are so thrilled to be continuing the legacy of AIDS/LifeCycle and to keep riding in support of the programs and services of SFAF. On May 29\, 2026 hundreds of riders and volunteers will ride north to Guerneville and back for an impactful and fun weekend. \nWe’ll gather at Floodcraft Brewing Co inside Whole Foods for a meet and greet social after work on February 19. Come for a casual hang and meet other participants. The first 10 attendees will get a beer or mocktail on us! And bring your friends and family- we would love to meet them too. Already received your CTZ registration shirt? Make sure to wear it to show your new ride pride. \nCTZ curious? Staff will be on hand to answer all of your event questions and introduce you to other participants. \nParking is available at Whole Foods\, and public transit is located across the street at San Jose Diridon Station.
