Warmth, Togetherness, and Turkey are on the Menu at 20th Annual Women and Family Holiday Party
The
Women and Family Holiday Party is hosted by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation
annually for women and children living with HIV and their families. This year's
dinner on December 14, 2006, marks the 20th anniversary of this warm and
memorable gathering. Many of the 600 people who will attend are without the
support of family or friends during the holidays and cannot afford to give
holiday gifts to their loved ones.
The
holiday party begins with a delicious dinner served by volunteers, followed by
entertainment provided by local musicians and artists who donate their time and
talents to help make this event special. The evening ends with the presentation
of a holiday gift bag to each attendee.
Individuals,
companies, and organizations donate items for the gift bags, including new
clothing, toys, toiletries or other practical items. If you or someone you know
is able to donate gifts to the holiday party, please contact Volunteer
Coordinator Emily Mariko-Sanders at emariko@sfaf.org or 415. 487.8081.
