Because She is Dedicated to Fighting HIV/AIDS, Sheila Ahumada is a Committed Donor to SFAF
An
enthusiastic supporter of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Sheila Ahumada is
a valuable member of our Leadership
Circle. When Dawn Ruggeroli-Collins, an active
fundraising volunteer and now Leadership Gifts Associate, called Sheila
recently to thank her for her generous contributions, she asked "Why do you
support the Foundation so consistently?" Sheila replied, "Because you are doing
such important work, and doing it so well!"
Sheila also told Dawn that she enjoys reading OUTReach and the
Foundation's Annual Report because they help her see that her contributions are
being used effectively to help bring an end to the epidemic.
Sheila
has signed up to receive information about the Foundation electronically
through the "Act Now" section of our Web site, at http://action.sfaf.org. She
appreciates the fact that the Action
Center allows
HIV-interested people to be as informed and involved as they choose to be.
During the 16th International AIDS Conference, held in Toronto
this past August, Sheila received the latest information about the epidemic
every day through the Action
Center.
Sheila
and her husband Luis live in San Diego
with their daughter. They also have a son completing his MBA at Stanford.
Sheila says she plans to stop by the Foundation's offices with her son one day
to meet the people who "make great things happen." Sheila has also pledged that
her generous support will continue as long as people continue to suffer from
the ravages of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
