Word-of-mouth referrals of satisfied customers have been at the heart of Sports Basement’s growth. The store also gives back to the Bay Area by partnering with local organizations to help them reach their goals. One of its first partnerships was with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. In support of AIDS/LifeCycle, Sports Basement has provided training and educational space, fundraising incentives and an ongoing 15 percent on all store merchandise for ALC participants.
"We love our ALC riders and roadies, and working with the fantastic San Francisco AIDS Foundation folks who make the ride possible. Sports Basement applauds the extraordinary work of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and we’re very proud to have a role in the cause."
