San Francisco AIDS Foundation Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Annual Operating Plan & Budget

The San Francisco AIDS Foundation is pleased to present its Annual Operating Plan and Budget for fiscal year 2008-2009, an outline of the Foundation’s new initiatives and continuing programmatic, public policy, communications and marketing, development, and finance and administration activities for the coming year.

This budget is responsive to a shift in the Foundation’s priorities which address the endemic nature of HIV infection and improve the health of people living with HIV. In addition to funding ongoing work, the budget includes new opportunities for Foundation staff to devise and measure innovative approaches to HIV prevention and to define and support evidence-based strategies to combat HIV. These priorities are embodied by a new Statement of Purpose, adapted during the previous fiscal year:

The San Francisco AIDS Foundation provides leadership to prevent new HIV infections. Linking community experience with science, the Foundation develops ground-breakingprevention programs and bold policy initiatives to promote health and create sustainable progress against HIV. The Foundation refuses to accept that HIV transmission is inevitable.
