ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
San Francisco AIDS Foundation works to ensure the HIV epidemic ends in the same city where it began. By combining innovative, evidence-based programs for HIV prevention and care with bold policy initiatives focused on issues ranging from harm reduction to total health and wellness, the agency is making sustainable progress against HIV among populations most vulnerable to the disease. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner provides leadership and guidance in the areas of human resources and support to the administration functions of the Foundation. The position partners with VP of Talent and Operations to develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures, and legal compliance obligations for all aspects of the Human Resources and Administration. Manages strategic HR projects including performance management, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, employee life cycle, training, and safety administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Human Resources
1. Employee Relations: Responsible for maintaining relationships that contribute to reaching the SFAF mission by increasing productivity, motivation and morale. Prevent and resolve employee related issues around work situations. Partner with pro-bono attorney to mitigate risk on Foundation employee related issues.
2. Performance Management: Manage performance management process via our Performance in Action system. This includes monitoring, communicating, training, and partnering with outside vendors as needed.
3. Talent Management: Responsible for managing employee life cycle process including applicant tracking system, recruitment, onboarding and off boarding of staff. Develop and maintain appropriate and updated job descriptions.
4. Compensation: Manage SFAF’s compensation program. Partner with external vendor to create annual compensation structure. Work with internal leaders to ensure internal and external market equity among staff.
5. Benefits: Partner with VP of Talent and Operations on benefit renewal process, oversee implementation and manage employee benefit issues.
6. Program/Project Management: Identify and manage various Foundation and/or Human Resources projects or programs as needed.
• Develop and implement employee policies. Maintain and update employee handbook, as well as whistleblower, conflict of interest policies, affirmative action plans, HIPAA requirements, adhere to Federal/State/Contractual policy and audit requirements.
• Partner with HR team to identify and implement process improvement projects including: HRIS conversion, electronic files conversion, employee satisfaction surveys, etc.
7. Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for supervision of up to two staff members.
Administration
• Partner with VP of Talent and Operations to manage capital and expense budgets.
• Partner with Office Service and Administration team to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Injury Illness Prevention/Business Continuity Plans and vendor/supply management.

Sensitivity to diverse populations and work styles, timeliness response to deadlines, and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years experience in Human Resources required. Prior experience with AIDS Service Organizations (volunteer or professional) desired. SPHR, PHR or other HR certification highly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Skill in operating standard office equipment required. Ability to perform routine bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching within reasonable accommodation. Administrative responsibilities may include providing assistance with evacuating employees in case of an emergency and/or triage assistance if injuries occur.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is primarily located at 1035 Market Street, San Francisco, however is responsible for traveling to the any other foundation locations deemed necessary.
